biomimicry was chosen, because it most replicated the basic purpose of the robot, to
collect cells and return them for points. The bee collects nectar from the flower, which
correlates with our robot collecting cells from the playing field. Although we throw the
cells to the robot rather than collect them, the basic principle still applies. The bee then
travels back to the hive showing how our robot returns to our base on the playing field,
carrying the nectar, or cells in the robot’s case, with it. Finally the last, and arguably
most critical is where the bee takes the nectar to the hive to be converted into honey or, in
our case, points. The points can then be exchanged for super cells; much like the nectar
becomes honey within the hive.
